Together to learn better
People can rarely meet but we experience their connection when we see them together.
And people can meet every single day but live in deep isolation from each other.
Recently, I witnessed the later and felt sad. Being together can be an opportunity for reciprocal inspiration. And if I feel inspired by those around me, I learn better and create more.
Research working environments often lead people to isolation which has nothing to do with deep work, but ” leave me alone to watch the next episode”, or YouTube video, or news or social network.
If you feel this isolation in your research working environment, try sharing what you learn and ask others what they are learning.
