Finding ways to improve scientific writing and academic productivity.

The last bit

You’re tired but almost finished. Little is missing til you’re done. It’s the last bit.

But even the last bit requires effort. And the probability of giving up increases exponentially.

Why, if it’s the last bit? Awareness.

The last bit without awareness of the time and distance to fulfillment can seem an eternity.

Try the smallest thing you can do. If small actions become a habit, the awareness of what it takes to accomplish the last bit grows.

It’s like growing up. You never notice how much you grow every day because it’s a bit. Dealing with accomplishing the last bit is not natural, but you can learn.

When was the last time you experienced accomplishing the last bit and learned from it?
