Finding ways to improve scientific writing and academic productivity.

Aliens and Alienated

I embraced Digital Minimalism for some time now, and I began feeling strange around people in a Mall. I felt alien because everyone is paying attention to their phone and I noticed. People around me were alienated most of the time.

I saw children around their alienated parents because they focus their eyes on the small screen. I see couples and families around the restaurant table, isolated on their screens, consuming a little dopamine before enduring the long meal. I see people walking with their eyes focus on their screen instead of the world around them.

I understand them because I was one myself. But now that I feel alien and watch the alienated, I wonder what can I do for them? Well, I can write this post and hope one of them reads, awakens and feels inspired to full consciousness of the balance our lives need between reality and virtuality.
