Even if you know well where all the information is, nothing is more important than interpretation.
Interpreting information to understand a problem, pattern or trend is one of the best skills you learn as a student.
Most students rely on solved exercises in their learning process, but if they’re unaware of their purpose, you master some terrain, but not your bike.
Following the analogy, mastering the bike means mastering interpretation skills. Studying means improving your interpretation skills to deal with the information available and find the solution (if it is a problem), the logic (in case of patterns) or the direction (for trends).
This is a small step in the path to improving the teaching model of Universities, but it’s not only up to teachers. The mindset change must, above all, be embraced by students.
