We all complain about not having time to do certain things because of the time spent in doing other things. The reason could be a matter of priorities, but I think it is more a matter of the joining time and a reason.

A friend of mine told me he had a little more of himself and ask me if I felt the same. What he was implying had do to with weight 🙂 Well, I share with him about Medina’s first brain rule and how it made me walk every day. He replied how he wish he could find the time to do the same.

Where is the time you need

I was thinking about this in the morning and there is a simple answer. [tweet_box design=”box_04″ float=”none”]Where there’s a reason, there’s time.[/tweet_box] If you carefully look into all you do in life, the important things have a reason. And maybe some things unimportant in the eyes of others, are important to you because you have a reason.

I began these morning walks because most of what I do, my income and projects, depend on a healthy brain. So I wanted to make my brain as healthy as possible. If that means walking every day, so be it. And if the side effect is getting in shape, great!

If you want to change anything in your life and this implies creating new daily habits, the most important step I found in my experience is finding the reason “why” you want to change. The time you need is in the reason “why” you want to change. The hard part is giving the first step.

An easy and effective first step

In my experience with walking every day, my first step was choosing something my body couldn’t refuse. If I did the same as many others and run, I’m almost certain I would have given up by the second or third day. The first step must be a small step. Small enough to be easy and effective. You must make sure you experience accomplishing something worth repeating the next day.

Find the reason and you will fin the time.

Start with an easy and effective first step that’s worth repeating.

This is the best way to make sure you’ll arrive at the finish line of everything you do.

I dare you to try. Think about something you want to change, find the reason why and take the first step.
